About Us
Quickie Marketing, Inc was founded in 2003 who famously created The Viral
Spiral:
This internet newsletter had 28,000 subscribers and captured the hearts of
many who enjoyed the humor and clever articles that helped launch innovation
to the email industry.
Quickie originally was a powerhouse database broker turned email marketer
when by mistake found out they had a knack for scrubbing databases ridding
spam traps and complainers rivaling such companies as Data Genie and
ImpressionWise.
Today, Quickie cares about cleaning up the industry by introducing a
revealing newsletter called
The Data Guide
where they will expose both sides of the chess game: Anti's and Pros.
Quickie realizes that this industry needs regulation to ensure political
longevity and job creation in our declining economy. Quickie feels
that cleaning up databases is a good start and hopes The Data Guide will
offer knowledge to those who are new to this industry.

Scrubbing & Validation
We extract e-mail addresses from files and clean only syntactically correct
e-mail addresses. What are syntactically correct e-mail addresses? A valid
address contains only letters (a-z), numbers (0-9), hyphens ('-'),
underscores ('_'), periods ('.') and only one 'at' sign ('@'). Valid address
must begin with a letter or a number. Valid address must not exceed the
specified maximum address length. If none specified, then max length is 45.
There must be at least one '.' character in the address. There must be at
least one character before the '.' and at least one character after it. A
valid address must end with a character (a-z). Address must have at least 2
characters before the '@' sign. For example, we filter out ones like
1@mail.ru.
In the case of AOL addresses, our system allows for AOL e-mail addresses
that contain spaces to the left of the '@' sign. Also a valid AOL screen
name must be between 3 and 16 characters to the left of the '@' sign, and
must begin with a letter. This conforms to the exact syntax for valid AOL
addresses. Also, valid addresses must not contain '-' after the '@' sign.
Cleaning Formats
ASCII text, binary which includes CSV, Excel etc.
Delimiters
Our system replaces delimiters by TAB/COMMA - this is useful when columns in
some input lists delimited by tab, and columns in the others delimited by
comma, but you want to have unified output lists, delimited by tab only or
by comma only.
Character Field Removal
Our system removes quotes, Remove leading and trailing spaces from fields
remove unnecessary characters (quotes and spaces) from fields. Our system
can move emails to the beginning, remove empty fields, reorder/remove fields
allows you re-arrange columns in the lists and remove unnecessary ones.
Date Converting
Our system converts dates to system format (on the Date/Time Format tab)
option used to convert dates and times of different formats to unified
format (specified in system Regional Options).
Duplicate Removal
Our system removes duplicate e-mail addresses, physical addresses, phones
and names. (we automatically remove email dupes. The rest if upon request
only)
Foreign Email Removal
Our system can reject non-country domains with 2 or more dots and country
domains with 3 or more dots. We can remove emails of non-country domains
with 2 or more dots after @, like xxx@yyy.zzz.com, and emails of country
domains with 3 or more dots, e.g. xxx@yyy.zzz.com.au.
Fake Domain Removal
www.18sji.com etc...
Reject domains that start with numbers
Domains that start with numbers. www.12carloans.com (upon request only)
Save Rejected Addresses in separate file
We can save all of the rejected bad emails into a separate file. (upon
request only - higher cost involved)
Remove Spam Traps
Spam traps are the root of all problems. We have a pool of top affiliate
email marketing firms that allow us to scrub against their suppression lists
of traps and complainers. The list is real time and has an accuracy rate of
98%.
Remove Complainers
There are several million top complainers that have enough pull to get you
shut down. We know who they are and remove them all including every
complainer inside the collective pool.
Merge Lists
We can merge all lists into one file or separate them into smaller files
Separate Addresses
We can separate certain domain and place them into separate files. In
example, we can remove all of the yahoo.com emails out of your lists.
Seed Addresses
We can seed a fixed number of times per seed at evenly spaced intervals,
randomly spaced intervals, add all seeds once after a certain amount of
addresses, add one consecutive seed after every certain amount of addresses
or add one random seed after every certain number of addresses. (upon
request only - higher cost involved)
Randomize List
After scrubbing, sorting and deduping, most lists are in alphabetical order
via email. We can randomize the lists so they are not alphabetical so you
can start mailing right away.
The Working System
Our system works in comma delimited format. Once we upload the data, it
moves the email column to the beginning (A column) and keeps the rest where
they are. It has multiple column support and keeps everything in its
proper order. In example, If a list comes in with this format:
id,email, fname, lname, datetime,ip,source it is sent back as:
email,id,fname, lname, datetime,ip,source with no data being lost or out of
sync. If the files are in xls, we reformat them to csv. Our system is
robust enough to handle 200 million records at once so we can scrub any way
you send it to us. No data will lose its place. Then we proceed to
scrub via these formats: reject long strings, non-country, duplicates, bad
endings, trap strings, trap/complainer domains and finally email removal of
traps and complainers. Our system can merge all files into one or scrub 1 at
a time. Once the system recognizes a bad string, it removes the entire row
and moves the rest of the data below back to the top via alphabetical.
